Toshiaki was admitted to the bar in Japan in 2000 and belongs to Daini Tokyo Bar Association.
At Mitsui, Yasuda, Wani & Maeda, he was involved in various cases such as finance, bankruptcy, and M&A cases. At Nishimura & Asahi, he involved mainly in cross-border dispute cases. At the Cabinet Office of Japan, he was involved in the investigation of PPP (Public Private Partnership) in various countries, drafting of guidelines, and assisting the amendment of statutes.
He also served as a lecturer at seminars organized by government agencies in South Korea and Taiwan, and actively shared his experiences with foreign government agencies.
After Toshiaki joined Lee and Li in 2016, he was involved in various dispute cases, such as intellectual property cases, misconduct, government procurements, joint ventures, and labor issues. He gives advices based on the differences in practices and cultures between Japan and Taiwan.
Furthermore, he places importance on being able to cooperate with specialists of other fields such as accounting and patents. He passed the US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam and the California Bar Exam in 2007 (both not registered). He passed the Taiwan Patent Attorney Exam in 2022 and was registered as a Taiwan Patent Attorney in 2023.
