ESG and Sustainable Development at Lee & Li
Since our founding in 1965, we have dedicated ourselves to excellence in legal services and corporate social responsibility, directing resources to social welfare and charitable causes. At the same time, we are mindful of the risks associated with climate change and corporate sustainable development. Moving forward, we will continue to abide by the principle of "We Care, We Serve, We Excel" while steering corporate clients towards their environmental, social, and governance sustainability goals. Among our own sustainable development goals are six of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations: 5 Gender Equality, 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, 10 Reduce Inequality, 13 Climate Action, 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and 17 Partnerships for the Goals.
Our Commitments
- To keep increasing resource reuse and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve net zero emissions as soon as possible.
- To maintain a sound governance system to discourage corruption, ensure professional integrity, and maintain information security and business confidentiality, all while complying with the law.
- To continue supporting gender equality, nurturing career advancement, increasing compensation and benefits, and maintaining a safe workspace, with well-being, equity, diversity, and inclusivity as our guiding principles.
- To stay engaged in social welfare and charitable activities and the promotion of legal education, aiming to give students early exposure to sustainable development issues such as climate change, net zero emissions, corporate governance, and social resource allocation.
