美國以及大陸專利實務，向來是台灣企業所關注的。針對大陸專利實務，本所具有大陸律師以及大陸專利代理師資格的孫寶成專利師/資深顧問，則為各位貴賓以中文介紹2023年度大陸專利複審無效典型案件決定摘要。針對美國專利實務，我們特別邀請美國律師事務所Davis Wright Tremaine LLP的合夥人Scott Adams和資深美國專利律師Jack Chang，以英文介紹美國的最新專利實務發展，包括「當你使用人工智慧進行發明時，如何保護你的創新」以及「如何保護貴公司免於專利流氓的騷擾或攻擊」等議題。

The patent practices in the United States and Mainland China have always been a focus for enterprises. Our firm has experts in both areas who will be presenting on the latest developments in patent practices in their respective countries. For Mainland China's patent practices, Michael Sun, a patent attorney and senior consultant with qualifications as a Mainland China lawyer and patent agent, will be presenting the abstract of the 2023 typical decisions on patent reexamination and invalidation cases in Mainland China. Michael's presentation will be in Chinese. For U.S. patent practices, we have specially invited Scott Adams, a partner at the U.S. law firm Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and senior U.S. patent attorney Jack Chang to introduce the latest developments in U.S. patent practices. Topics will include "How to protect your innovations when you use AI to invent" and "How to protect your company from patent trolls' harassment or attacks." Scott and Jack's presentations will be in English. Our firm is located in Taipei. If your office is not in the same time zone as Taipei, please check the time difference to ensure you do not miss the presentations.

 

講師介紹

孫寶成 專利師/資深顧問	孫寶成顧問協助國內外包括機械工業、汽車工業、醫療器材、機器人、半導體、自動化以及工業設計等領域之知名客戶處理諸多包括專利佈局、專利申請策略、專利訴訟及專利舉發/無效等案件，亦擅長於專利侵權分析、專利有效性分析、及迴避設計等事項。   孫寶成顧問對我國、美國以及大陸專利實務及法規，均有深入之研究，除於台北科技大學兼任教授專利法規外，並定期於如「智慧財產月刊」、「科技法律透析」及「專利師季刊」等知名期刊發表文章。   資格 中華民國專利師 (2009) 中國專利代理人資格 (2012) 中國律師 (2020) 美國紐約州及麻州律師資格 (2005)
Scott Adams Partner	Scott Adams offers a variety of experience in intellectual property law. He focuses his practice on helping clients develop and otherwise acquire intellectual property assets. Scott's work includes prosecution of domestic and international patent applications for clients in information security, cloud computing, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence, and medical device industries. A large focus of his practice includes applied mathematics in areas such as cryptography, smart contracts, machine learning, and image processing. Scott also negotiates patent licenses, advises on intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions, and counsels on patent litigation matters.
Jack Chang Counsel	Jack Chang focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He has experience drafting patent applications and responding to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office actions. Additionally, Jack has provided litigation support by conducting research and analysis on various areas of law, including trademark, copyright, employment, and mergers and acquisitions. He has a desire to accomplish client goals through teamwork and effective communication.
